Privacy Policy

The short version: this site collects almost nothing. There are no accounts, no signups, no analytics trackers, and no cookies set by us. The calculators run entirely in your browser — the dimensions and cut lists you enter are never transmitted to us or stored anywhere.

What the calculators do with your inputs

Every tool on this site (Box Builder, Cut List Optimiser, and the joint and board foot calculators) performs its calculations locally in your browser. Nothing you type into a tool leaves your device. When you use a "copy to clipboard" button, the copied text goes only to your own clipboard, at your request. Closing the tab discards everything.

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted by Netlify. Like essentially all web hosting, Netlify's infrastructure processes technical information about requests — including IP addresses — in server logs, for security and operational purposes. We don't use these logs to identify or track visitors. Netlify's own handling of this data is described in Netlify's privacy policy.

Fonts

The Space Mono typeface is served from this site's own domain — loading it involves no request to any third party.

Advertising

This site does not currently display advertising. If advertising is introduced in future, it would be served by Google AdSense, and this policy will be updated before that happens. In that case: third-party vendors, including Google, would use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Google Ads Settings. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland would be shown a consent banner and asked for permission before any advertising cookies are set.

Because this site does not collect or store personal data about its visitors, there is generally nothing held for us to provide or delete; the server logs described above are held by Netlify as hosting provider. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes to this policy

If the site's data practices change — for example, if advertising or analytics are introduced — this page will be updated before those changes take effect, and the "last updated" date above will reflect it.
